LITERARY LUSCIOUSNESS: Luscious Lifers, I thought some of you might like a little insight into my “Violet Champion” novel…
Style:
Literary murder mystery, social commentary
Setting:
Capri, Italy
Synopsis:
Whilst holidaying in a private resort on the island of Capri, Violet Champion, a 30-something heiress and philanthropist, questions the beliefs and behaviour of the “One Percenters”, the super rich.
When a murder unsettles the idyllic environment, she examines the motives of her fellow guests, social expectation and responsibility, and the relationship between the “old world” of European titles and American industrialists, and the “new world” of reality TV and social media stars.
Think Edith Wharton meets F. Scott Fitzgerald meets Agatha Christie meets Donna Tartt. Hopefully.

Update:
I’ve spent several months scoping out the structure and plot, and doing research. I have about 66,000 words written so far, although much editing of the existing work is still required.
The first two chapters have been professionally reviewed and fabulous feedback received, which is both exciting and daunting.
I’m not putting a timeframe on it as deadlines just freak me out, but I am trying to make it my main priority, trying to balance it between working on Luscious, as well as the Luscious travel guide to Paris, Central France and the French Riviera, and a guide to luscious living.
Thanks for your support!
